Metal Ex

The water in most pools contains metals. Some of these metals cause the water to become cloudy or result in algae build-up on the components. Metal Ex binds a large part of the metal content in pool water which can then be trapped in the filter system.

Application:

• First bring the pH value fo the water to the optimal range of 7.0 - 7.4.
• With the pump running, evenly distribute 0.3-0.6 liters of Metall Ex per 10 m³ of pool water over the water surface or at the inlet nozzle.
• Allow the filter system to run for at least 48 hours thereafter. Limescale and metals crystallise, settle in the filter system and are then removed by the backwash process.

Removes dry deposits:

• Metall Ex cannot remove organic deposits.
• To find out if a deposit is metallic or organic, hold a cloth moistened with Metall Ex on the stain for 5-10 minutes. If the stain becomes lighter, it is a metallic deposit. If the stain turns yellow, it is an organic deposit, which Metall Ex cannot remove.
• To remove metal deposits, place a cloth soaked in Metal Ex on the stain for at least an hour. The metal or lime will be loosened from the surface.
• Then wash the area thoroughly.
